A leading provider in senior living approached us with an ambitious plan to convert an existing skilled nursing home into an assisted living facility. From the project’s inception, the entire team was focused on creating something special that “raised the bar” for assisted living providers. After an intensive due diligence phase, we identified the major infrastructure changes needed to meet governing codes and worked with the local municipality to address community concerns and establish the scope of site work required. The existing conditions gave us a lot to work with, starting with a beautiful 12 acre rolling hill top site. The existing structure and envelope were both in very good condition, but the electrical and fire protection systems needed substantial code upgrades.
